About

From a very young age, Nicole has always had a strong interest in photography. However, it was only in her later years of secondary schooling that she decided to pursue photography at a professional level after having been part of the school magazine’s photography department. She has never looked back since owning her very first SLR camera. While completing her Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication, she has  discovered that photography is not merely a stand-alone discipline, it is a broader tool related on various levels to facets of the creative and design industry.

Since then, she has captured several free lance jobs ranging particularly in children and family portraiture where her main interest lies, to weddings and events. On the side, she often does some personal projects combining photography with her graphic design knowledge as she believes, both of that go hand in hand especially in the advertising and design world.

Nicole is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Photomedia at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW, Sydney. She loves how a photograph can be understood universally, breaking barriers of language and culture and finds it enjoyable to interact and communicate with the person(s) in front of the camera and creatively framing a shot to tell a story. She aspires to specialize in fine art portrait photography one day, and is using her degree as a stepping stone to achieve her dream.
